Low Cost Cleaners can be as close as your kitchen cabinet!
Remember when you were a kid and made those foaming volcanoes out of vinegar and baking soda? Well, today I'm going to blog about that same concoction.

As you know, I'm a big fan of making the most out of every dollar- and more so- choosing the healthiest and best options with everyday needs.Household cleaning is one of them. I had been using lye to unclog a stubborn sink upstairs. I didn't really like the fact that getting lye on your skin (when it's wet) could be a potentially very painful experience. It was a step above the long list of toxic drain cleaners (and yes- lye is less expensive), but I found the very same concoction we used to use to make volcanoes explode as kids works great in drains (and it's less expensive than lye). For stubborn clogs, take a large scoop of baking soda and pour vinegar down the drain.
Repeat if necessary. It not only works with slow drains, it also cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes the drains. I bought a gallon jug of vinegar for less than $3 bucks at a dollar store, and I bought a 12 pound bag of baking soda for under $7 at Costco. I am good to go for quite some time. ;) Baking Soda and vinegar have numerous uses. I'd venture to guess you could clean your entire house with these two wonders. However, there are many other great things in your cabinets that you can use for other cleaning solutions. I'll be blogging more on this so that you can make the most out of every dollar spent- and make the most out of fantastically priced bulk buys. So stay tuned!
